PPGA Planning has been carried out since the course was approved by CAPES and started its activities in 2016. Action planning for subsequent years was carried out based on discussions within the PPGA Council. However, the Strategic Planning process began its institutionalization in October 2019, when the Coordinating Committee of the PPGA, formed by four professors, was defined as the Planning Committee.
The first meeting involved an evaluation of the Program based on the participation of a member of the Planning Commission in the CAPES Mid-Term meeting. Subsequently, the Commission defined two stages of the Planning process: a) Strategic Planning I, with the proposal of actions and initiatives for the last year of the quadrennium (2017-2020); b) Strategic Planning II, proposing initiatives and strategies for the quadrennium (2021-2024). Both plans were discussed between the teaching, student and TAE categories and approved by the PPGA Council
The Strategic Planning is directly aligned with UNIPAMPA’s Institutional Project and the course’s Self-Assessment Policy, the latter being the main subsidy for organizational diagnosis and the development of future strategies and goals.
The Strategic Planning methodology followed five phases: a) Phase 1 – Definition and consensus on the vision, mission, principles (values) of the PPGA; b) Phase 2 – Review of Objectives; c) Phase 3 – Organizational diagnosis (identification of opportunities, threats, strengths and weaknesses); d) Phase 4 – Main strategies (initiatives and goals); e) Phase 5 – Implementation and Monitoring.
