Sílica Verde do Arroz Ltda, based in Alegrete/RS, is a company specializing in generating electricity from rice husks with high efficiency and extracting high-quality rice husk silica for use in the construction market and technical rubber artifacts. Integrating the Pilecco Nobre Alimentos Ltda Group, SVA was founded in 2005 and has an installed capacity of 5 MW for power generation and a capacity to extract 10,000 tons per year of high-quality rice husk silica, being a reference in efficiency in the national and international market.
Marcon Embalagens de Vidro / Marcon Glass containers
Marcon is a company established in Ipê, in the Serra Gaúcha, since 1980. This company, born as a family business, today produces 6,000 glass demijohns/day for wine storage. Its production involves about 13 tons of glass/day, thus being part of the program as one of the possible beneficiaries of sustainable glass products, produced from agricultural waste gray rice husks.

Parque Científico e Tecnológico do Pampa – PampaTec / Pampa Scientific and Technological Park
PampaTec’s fundamental idea is the sustainable development of the Pampa biome territory, through the creation of a technological innovation environment, connecting universities, governments, and technology-based companies. It is maintained by Universidade Federal do Pampa at its physical headquarters on the Alegrete Campus, but developing actions to promote innovative entrepreneurship on the University’s 10 campuses.
Associação dos Arrozeiros de Alegrete /Alegrete’s Rice farmers Associtaion
Founded on December 17, 1985, the Associação dos Arrozeiros de Alegrete was emancipated from the then Associação Comercial e Industrial de Alegrete. Its official constitution took place with the publication of the Social Statute in the Official Gazette on September 8, 1987, approved by the newly elected board on August 24 of the same year. It participated in the conception and realization of the 1st Rice Harvest Opening on March 19, 1988, an unprecedented event in Brazil, establishing one of the greatest events in rice farming, still today, and by calling on the established rice entities to form, in 1989, the Federation of Rice Growers Associations of Rio Grande do Sul – FEDERARROZ. Among its activities, it annually promotes the “Rice Week” event, with technical lectures, discussions, and a technological showcase of the rice production chain.
Sindicato Rural de Alegrete / Alegrete’s Rural Union
It is one of the oldest rural entities in Rio Grande do Sul. It annually promotes the “Alegrete Agricultural Exhibition,” one of the largest in the state of Rio Grande do Sul.
Centro Empresarial de Alegrete / Alegrete’s Business Center
The Centro Empresarial de Alegrete – CEA, is an associative entity that was born from the union between the Associação Comercial e Industrial de Alegrete, the Câmara de Dirigentes Lojistas, the Associação das Micro e Pequenas Empresas, and the Associação dos Jovens Empresários do Alegrete. This union resulted in the strengthening of the representativeness of various entrepreneurial segments. Thus, the entity seeks to ensure a convergent action with strategic actions aimed at meeting the aspirations of the broad class of entrepreneurs in the Municipality and the region. The activities of the CEA extend to the Municipality of Manoel Viana, where entrepreneurship promotion and technical and institutional support are fostered, ensuring associative participation and representation in the entity’s board, which results in the effective representativeness of the business organizations of that Municipality within the Centro Empresarial.
Prefeitura Municipal de Alegrete / Alegrete’s Municipal Government
It operates in projects through the Secretaria Municipal de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Turismo, mainly in the installation and maintenance of the Open Lab at PampaTec to meet the prototyping demands of innovative companies and society in general. It also works on updating legislation and implementing policies to promote innovation, as well as publicizing the Cluster in fairs, events, and media.
Câmara de Vereadores de Alegrete / Alegrete’s Councils Chamber
It operates in projects discussing, promoting, and operationalizing the Municipal Innovation Law of Alegrete. Additionally, it will work on publicizing and expanding the importance of the project to the cities of the region and the state, so that the “Centro de Agrotecnologia e Inovação do Pampa” cluster becomes a reference center for innovation for the entire western border of Rio Grande do Sul.
