Research Area:
Language and Teaching: The entire educational process is permeated by the development of reading and writing skills, from the early years of schooling to college education. Language is a fundamental tool for assimilating established knowledge and for the re-elaboration of it in the innovation and creation of new knowledge. Thus, the research conducted in this program, which is fundamentally applied in nature, will not be disconnected from the educational outcomes presented by various external assessment instruments to which students in Basic and College Education (Prova Brasil, ENEM, SAERS, SAEB, PISA, ENADE, etc.) are subjected. The program is committed not only to describing the linguistic and educational realities in which these students are immersed but also to intervening in these realities through research that contributes to significant findings for a social, cultural, and intellectual change in these individuals.
