The graduate is aimed at leading high-level research and solving relevant problems for society in the areas of Materials and Environment and their implications in Civil Construction. In addition to research activities, which are inherent to a Stricto Sensu graduate program, according to item 3.6 of UNIPAMPA&#8217;s PDI, the Program also aims to conduct technical and scientific studies that can contribute to scientific and technological advancement in Mercosur and, mainly, in the southern border region of Rio Grande do Sul. These studies aim to meet the qualification needs of the productive sector workforce in the focused field of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Thus, it is important to encourage the training of future scientists in the area, throughout joint actions with undergraduate programs in Civil Engineering and other related fields. The training based on relevant knowledge to the concentration area of this Program is also important, such as Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Food Engineering, Renewable and Environmental Energy Engineering, Production Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Mission:<\/strong> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">PPEng&#8217;s mission is to train quality human resources that are committed to increasing economic broadening, to creating value-added products and intellectual maturity for sustainable regional development.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Vision:<\/strong> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">PPEng aims to be a reference in the training of qualified human resources and in the production of knowledge and technology in the regions of Pampa Ga\u00facho (which includes the Southern and Western Borders of Rio Grande do Sul) and its surroundings and Mercosur countries located close to Alegrete (Argentina and Uruguay).<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Graduate Profile<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">PPEng aims to provide solid generalist and emancipatory academic training for students in their areas of knowledge. The training of human resources is aimed at applying scientific methods to solve problems and a broad understanding of the research, development and innovation processes. Thus, the holder of a Master&#8217;s degree in Engineering will be able to lead studies, both develop and propose methods, techniques and tools that allow implementation of solutions in various areas of interest in Civil and Environmental Engineering.
